About Compuscan CRB:
Compuscan CRB is an international credit bureau organisation providing
credit risk services to the financial sector in Uganda under license by Bank of
Uganda.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • The incumbent will identify, assess and
    evaluate company risks
  • The jobholder will manage the
    implementation of all aspects of the       risk
    function
  • Manage the process for developing risk
    policies and procedures, risk limits and approval authorities
  • Keenly monitor major and critical risk
    issues
  • Manage the corporate risk and control
    assessment reporting process as well as manage and maintain infrastructure
    elements (e.g. management reporting, including reporting to senior
    management)
  • Carry out internal data systems audits
  • Conduct compliance and risk assessments.
  • Tasked with planning, designing and
    implementing an overall risk management process for the Company
  • Providing support, education and training
    to staff to build risk awareness within the Company.
  • Prepare and submit the necessary reports
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate must for the Risk
    Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any of the
    following disciplines; Finance or Economics, Law, Management or Business
    Studies, Statistics, Science
  • A qualification in risk management is an
    added advantage
  • A minimum of two years of related work
    experience
  • Previous exposure and experience/knowledge
    relating to credit reference bureau operations is an added advantage
  • Proven and excellent working knowledge of
    MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Technical acumen
  • Problem-solving and decision-making
    abilities analytical skills and a good eye for detail
  • Demonstrated ability to cope under
    pressure
  • Good planning and company skills
  • Good negotiation skills and the ability to
    influence people
  • Excellent communication and presentation
    skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Numerical skills and the ability to
    evaluate costs
  • Demonstrated ability to understand broad
    business issues
  • Evidence of the ability to practice a high
    level of confidentiality
