now seeks to recruit on behalf of its valued Client in the Medical sector
specializing in eye care.
Responsibilities:
- The Counsellor will build relationships of
trust and respect with Patients - Agreeing a counseling contract to
determine what will be covered in sessions (including confidentiality
issues) - Encouraging Patients to talk about issues
they feel they cannot normally share with others; - Actively listening to Patients concerns
and empathize with their problem - The jobholder will accept without bias the
issues raised by Patients - Supporting patients towards a deeper
understanding of their concerns - Challenging any inconsistencies in what
Patients say or do - Helping Patients to make decisions and
choices regarding possible ways forward; - Attending supervision and training courses
- Undertaking personal therapy (mandatory
for accreditation) - Working to agreed targets in relation to
Patients contact - Undertaking group as well as individual
therapy on occasions - Keeping records and using reporting tools.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s
Degree or equivalent or above - Relevant hospital experience
- The Counsellor should have overall
counselling knowledge of eye care. - Demonstrated ability to understand the
patient related problem and assist doctors to do the proper investigation. - Functional knowledge of entire life cycle
management of patients. - Some expertise in Counseling, Optometric,
Optical, Billing, Pharmacy, OT Operation and Overall Hospital
Administration. - The incumbent should have worked as
counsellor in Hospital & Hospitality Industry - Fluency in both English both spoken and
written - Candidate must demonstrate deep cultural
understanding of the healthcare - Operational Knowledge
- Broad knowledge and understanding of the
basic mechanisms of general healthcare functioning - Excellent communication skills both oral
and written. - Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and
Power point, and good command of Microsoft
