Friends of Christ Revival (FOC-REV) Ministries Uganda is a
non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, inter-denominational charitable
organization that was established in 1999 by a group of volunteers as a
response to a crisis caused by HIV &AIDS and poverty in rural communities
in Uganda. FOC-REV Ministries Uganda exists to work with the poor and
marginalized rural people to improve their livelihood and increase self-reliance
through education support, health services advocacy, food security and
networking.
About USAID SOCY Project:
Friends of Christ Revival (FOC-REV) Ministries Uganda will be
implementing a Sustainable Outcomes for Children and Youth (SOCY) project
targeting Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Hoima and Luwero districts, funded
by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through
Catholic Relief Services (CRS). The SOCY project interventions shall be
focusing primarily on OVC Case Management and household economic strengthening
through savings groups and associated interventions and parenting/caregiver
programs.
Job Summary: The Coordinator
Youth and Partnerships will be responsible for conducting post-training
supervision and mentoring of the Youth and Partnership officers to ensure
proper mentorship of the youth groups.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Support and supervise Project Officer
    youth and partnerships in their duties
  • Provide structured support to business
    development service providers (Artisans and trainers)
  • Organize district-level meetings to engage
    public and private sector players for youth activities
  • Ensure that delivery of technical training
    packages is of high quality, is appropriate to the local context (use of
    local language and local examples), and is effectively reaching the
    intended beneficiaries
 Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the USAID Project
    Coordinator Youth and Partnerships should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
    Degree in Development Studies, Education, Social Sciences or related
    qualifications
  • A minimum of three years’ experience and
    knowledge in working with vulnerable children and/or youth.
  • Extensive knowledge of youth legislation,
    regulations, policies and procedures for involving youth in community
    activities.
  • Ability to manage a team
