of latest technology in Uganda and E. Africa; Manufacture Drugs and Medical
Devices/Instruments; Operate the Microhaem Medical Equipment Training School
(offer training, research, capacity building programmes, establish incubation
centre; collaborate with and outsource medical
professionals from related training institutions globally); run
curriculum that meets international
standards); and engage in maintenance, servicing and repairing of medical
equipment.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Ensure
that the financial system runs properly in order to process
financial information and generate accurate reports. - Ensure
that internal controls are enhanced and maintained at an acceptable level, - The
jobholder will also manage risks affecting MHS’s assets and make sure
risks are maintained at a lower level. - Ensure
there is enough cash on hand and vendors are paid promptly - Responsible
for all aspects of cash management - Ensure
timely preparation of payroll and timely statutory remittance of
returns to URA (PAYE, VAT) and NSSF - Ensuring
up-to-date data on the system by making daily postings in Quick books - Ensure
that accounts payable, receivable, Staff and Sub-recipients’ cheques are
prepared and paid on time. - Ensure
that staff account for all money advanced for all field activities - To
manage up-to-date filling system(Invoices, Sysmex, Loza, payment
vouchers-bank) - Conducting
end of month bank reconciliations - In charge of monitoring receivables and collection of debt and managing
pre-payments. - Manage
and maintain an up-to-date asset register - Ensure
that internal financial reports are generated accurately and disseminated
timely. - Ensure that soft copy and hard copy month
end closing packages are filed properly and done within the due date
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold
a Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration (accounting) second upper from recognized university - A
minimum of two to three years’ experience from a busy organization.
Medical related work experience is preferred - Hands-on
experience in Quick Books accounting package - Ability to work under pressure and minimum supervision
- Age: Between 25-30 years
