DanChurchAid has supported emergency relief and development programmes in
Uganda since 1979. DanChurchAid works through partners and with a
gender-inclusive rights-based approach, which is mainstreamed throughout all
DanChurchAid programme types as well as within the organization.
Officer will actively contribute to the successful design and implementation of
cash-based and other livelihood interventions, including agricultural
development, market and business development, IGAs, cash for work, vocational
skills training, and VSLA. The incumbent plays a key role in designing,
coordinating and quality assuring livelihood activities, including leadership
of Livelihoods Assistants.
Experience:

Livelihoods Officer job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, economics, business
development or other relevant discipline - A
minimum of four years’ experience working with agricultural development,
IGAs, market and business development, vocational skills training,
and cash based interventions. - Previous
exposure and experience in using mobile and other innovative technologies - Excellent
communication skills and ability to write good reports - Previous
experience with other local and international NGOs - Knowledge of local languages would be an
added advantage
