Trade Finance will be responsible for supporting and implementing strategies to
grow the Bank’s trade finance business portfolio in line with the Bank’s
business plan and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Support Growth of the Bank’s trade
portfolio by implementing and refining trade finance procedures and
processes to make them simpler and improving turnaround time without
compromising the quality of the portfolio and ensuring that all risk is
mitigated. - Work closely with the Product Development
Unit to develop, refine and manage trade finance products. In addition,
create and implement suitable products demanded by customers to remain
competitive. - Carry out periodic business
visits/meetings to achieve understanding of the customer needs for
effective relationship management. - Structuring the Trade Finance Deals in
accordance with the assessed customers’ needs and credit worthiness and
with the approval of Trade Finance Deals in accordance with the delegated
approval limits. - Conduct training, sensitization and drive
sales of the trade finance products to get an appreciation of trade
services procedures and processes. - Actively participate in the pricing of
trade finance products on a revenue / expense basis, monitor income
collection and ensure no income leakage, whilst growing the revenue line. - Work closely with the business partners to
ensure growth of particular products and to secure and maintain the collaterals
on behalf of the Bank. - Actively participate in the branch budgets
and targets for trade finance products and communicate to other business
units the trade sales plan on a periodic basis.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Centenary Bank
Supervisor Trade Finance job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in
a business related course - At least four years’ experience; two of
which should have been in the operations department of the trade finance
and two years in product sales in a financial institution. - Good Credit and Financial Analysis
- Communication and Marketing skills
- Good analytical and decision making skills
- Good report writing skills
