affected by armed conflict. Since 2004, War Child Holland has been working in
Uganda and currently operates in Acholi and Holland Lango.
- Plan, organize, conduct and document
creative life skills sessions for children, youth and caregivers in
cooperation with facilitators according to the War Child Holland
methodology. - The incumbent will also coach, mentor and
supervise the facilitators in order to achieve quality project goals arid
objectives. - Identifies beneficiaries, including
referral, in close cooperation with Facilitators and Program Development
Advisor. - Prepares and spearheads the implementation
of plans for project activities and ensures quality and timely reporting.
Experience:
- The applicants should hold Bachelor’s
Degrees in Community Development, Social Work or any related field - A minimum of three years of working
experience with an IIMGQ in Psycho Social Support areas - Significant experience with and/or strong
understanding of Child Protection programs, Youth programs and/or Life
Skills programs; - Excellent social and communication skills
for coaching and mentoring; and for liaising with external stakeholders;
Good understanding of broader development themes such as Protection,
Gender, SRH, livelihoods and child rights; - Broad knowledge and understanding of the
dynamics in context, politics and culture of The West Nile Region of
Uganda and within the refugee settlements. - Ability to speak and write English and be
able to speak one of the local languages: (Kakwa, Arabic, Madi and Acholi)
