Job Summary: The Marketing
Manager will provide on-going market intelligence and undertake market research
to determine customer needs so as to achieve customer satisfaction through
follow up of efficient planning, co-ordination and implementation of Goodman
International Ltd Activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage sales of the company’s products and
services - Develop annual sales strategies and
targets for the company - Manage sales team staff, sets sales goals
and targets - Be an active member of the SMT leading on
Sales and Marketing analysis, polices and strategies - Advises on compensation levels, determine
commission and bonus structures and create contests to motivate sales
staff - Work closely with the company management
and HRM on recruiting and developing sales staff, training and assigning
territory, setting quotas and monitoring activities. - Create
and implement a marketing and PR strategy, and work with in-house
staff or contractors to help develop any advertising, promotions, social
media and public relations activities—a significant area is in developing
sales materials such as sell sheets, brochures, catalogues and order
forms. - Advise on product line based on ease of
sale or profit margin - Manage the receipt, handling, and
escalation of all sales enquiries - Develop and implement sales strategies and
plans. - Identify and co-ordinate market
information - Work with accounting and sales departments
to ensure credit checks are done, orders are filled and product is shipped
to customers in a timely manner - Manage client relationships and resolve
any issues - Arrange appointments with and give
presentations to senior-level health workers, which may include
pre-arranged appointments or regular ‘cold’ calling - Build and maintain positive working
relationships with medical staff and supporting administrative staff, and
cultivate new contacts - Manage data base, keeping detailed records
of all contacts - Regularly attend company meetings, giving
technical data presentations and briefings - Keep up-to-date with the latest clinical
data supplied by the company; present and discuss this data with health
professionals during presentations - Monitor competitor activity and products
- Maintain knowledge of developments in the
field, anticipate potential negative and positive impacts on the business
and adapt strategy accordingly - Stay informed about the activities of
health services in a particular area - Develop strategies to increase market
share.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant should hold a BSc/MBA in
marketing or business studies - At least three years in a senior sales and
marketing position in pharmaceutical industry - Proven ability and experience with
motivating and leading a sales team - Extensive relevant networks
- Previous exposure and experience in developing
marketing and sales strategies - Significant experience working in a
fast-paced environment - Good knowledge about Ugandan pharmaceutical
market - Ability to speak local Ugandan languages.

- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector in
