Job Summary: The Legal
Officer will undertake In-house legal practice and represent the Bank in Courts
of Law and other fora.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Responsible
for draft loan documentation. - The
incumbent will draft legal correspondence upon instructions from
Supervisor. - Review
credit files for disbursement. - The
jobholder will also draft or peruse legally enforceable Contracts. - Carry
out legal awareness trainings for the Bank staff. - Provide
legal advisory services. - Represent
the Bank in Courts of law and other forum - Serve
as a liaison between Bank and External Advocates on all Bank matters upon
instructions from Supervisor.

Experience:

Legal Officer job opportunity should hold a Bachelors degree in Law from a recognized university. - Diploma
in Legal practice from Law Development Centre. - A
minimum of three years’ experience in legal practice in a financial
institution or a busy law firm. - Excellent
communication and stakeholder management skills. - Broad
knowledge and understanding of the Banking business environment. - Credit
analysis skills. - Ability
to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines. - Good
teamwork skills. - Willingness
to travel upcountry. - Computer
literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
