Job Summary: The Compliance
Officer will support the design and implementation of MPL risk management
framework through compliance and other risk management processes in place to
address finance and business process risks ensuring MPL operations are
compliant both at Corporate and operation levels

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Keenly review of all company payments with
their supporting documents - Conduct compliance reviews on the
departmental activities to ensure compliance with the approved
departmental policies, processes and standard operating procedures - Review staff salaries ,statutory deduction
(NSSF, PAYE, LST) and other Deductions in accordance with the approved
payroll - Conduct compliance reviews on the
company’s compliance with the relevant external laws and regulations - Follow-up on the implementation of
internal audit recommendations - Review of all company debtors and ensure
compliance with the approved credit policies - Carry out field visits/investigations on
the key business activities and operations - Review of all bank reconciliations and
cheques at hand - Carry out stocktaking at main stores and
outlets - Critically review and analyze Van sales
reports with the relevant source documents - Actively participate in the preparation of
the departmental budgets and work plans - Keenly review casual wages before payments
in accordance with the company policies and procedures. - Review of all fuel reconciliations for all
company vehicles - Review and verification of Van sales post
invoice returns, way bills credit notes and debit notes - Manage day-to-day operations of the
compliance work plan
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidates for the Movit
Products Limited (MPL) Compliance Officer jobs should hold Bachelor’s
degrees in Commerce, BBA with a bias in accounting from a recognized
university; - Possession of CPA is added advantage;
- A minimum of two years’ experience in an
accounting role, preferably in a busy work environment; - Detailed knowledge and understanding of
accounting principles including accrual accounting, reconciliations,
general ledger journals, preparedness to learn more complex principles; - Excellent interpersonal skills, including
the ability to deal with individuals at all levels, team working and
customer care skills, combined with discretion; - Excellent budget control skills;
- Excellent organizational and time
management skills, including a highly methodical approach and the ability
to keep track of multiple pieces of work, combined with a capacity to
remain calm under pressure; - Adopts a proactive approach with an
ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision, while
recognizing issues that require referral; - Good IT skills, particularly in the use of
Microsoft Word and Excel.
