the local population through a combination of community based research,
curative services and prevention strategies in the District of Rakai, South
Western Uganda. It is based at the Uganda Virus Research Institute – Entebbe
and Kalisizo in Rakai District.

Impact of the National Program for Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission
of HIV (PMTCT) in Uganda” study in 206 health facilities (HC IIIs, IIs, IVs) in
districts; Adjumani, Agago, Amolator,
Amudat, Amuria, Amuru, Apac, Arua, Budaka, Bududa, Bugiri, Buikwe, Bukedea,
Bukomansimbi, Bukwo, Bukambuli, Buliisa, Bundibugyo, Bushenyi, Buvuma, Buyende,
Gomba, Gulu, Hoima,Iganga, Isigiro, Kaabongo, Kabale, Kabarole, Kalungu,
Kampala, Kamuli, Kamwenge, Kanungu, Kapchorwa, Kasese, Katakwi, Kayunga,
Kibaale, Kibuku, Kiruhura, Kiryandongo, Koboko, Kole, Kotido,Kween, Kyankwanzi,
Kyenjojo, Lamwo, Lira, Luuka, Luwero, Lwengo, Masaka, Masindi, Mayuge, Mbale,
Mbarara, Mitooma, Mityana, Moroto, Mubende, Mukono, Nakapiripit, Nakaseke,

Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in protocol and
standard operating procedures (SOP) training and retraining - Screen and enroll study participants
- Administer study informed consent to study
participants - Collect service and research data from study
participants using standard tools - Collect study samples from participants
- Compile and submit progress reports
- Any other official duties as may be
assigned from time to time by a study team supervisor.
Experience:
- The applicant should possess a certificate
in any nursing course from a reputable institution - One year working experience in PMTCT
- The applicants must be Ugandans and able
to fluently speak the relevant local language (Runyakitara, Swahili, Luo
and Luganda) of the health facility location. Please check list at the
bottom of advert for the duty stations. - Proficiency in both written and spoken
English. - Ability to use a Smartphone
- Immunization or research in a reputable
institution or health facility - Excellent interpersonal and organizational
skills. - Ability to effectively work with minimum
supervision. - Skills in interviewing adults.
- Computer literacy skills
- Certificates in Good Clinical Practice
and/or Human Subjects Protection are an added advantage. - Applicants must indicate the district
