Uganda
interpersonal violence that happens in the home, in the communities and within
institutions that community members use on a regular basis. Our work is
organized into two departments; prevention of violence against women (VAW) and
prevention of violence against children (VAC).
Responsibilities:
- Manage all programs and activities of the
VAC prevention department. - The Coordinator will also facilitate
learning processes and mentor staff to grow and produce quality work. - Provide day-to-day supervision and
technical support to VAC prevention staff. - Provide onsite technical support to
national, regional and global partners. - Represent Raising Voices at national,
regional and international events.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold
a Master’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree with extensive relevant experience
in education and VAC prevention work. - A minimum of seven years of relevant work
experience with five years in management positions. - Excellent writing and computer skills.
- Experience working in schools and
education sector is an added advantage. - Proven commitment to VAC prevention and community
mobilization. - Experience in/familiarity with Raising
Voices methodologies is an added advantage.
