Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in the Great Lakes region, producing a wide range
of market leader brands in soaps, edible cooking oils and fats, detergents,
beverages, personal care products and plastics.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:   
  • The jobholder will be combining
    advertising with promotions to secure future sales.
  • Utilizing relevant media channels to
    advertise the promotions effectively such as direct mail, radio ads,
    television spots, newspaper circulars, Internet ads, social media,
    websites and special events.
  • In charge of designing effective
    promotional tools to drive sales such as incentivizing with giveaways,
    contests, samples, coupons, discounts and reward programs etc.
  • Preparing reports to present to management
    and analyze the results of the campaigns to ensure their efficacy.
  • Responsible for managing costs and budget
    tables as assigned by the Brand Managers.
  • Preparing design briefs and manages
    designers and production houses to procure support materials for the promotions.
  • Organize all events and trade fairs and
    carry out effectively the sales promotions.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:  
  • The Mukwano Trade Promotions Manager must
    hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, majoring in
    Marketing or its equivalent. Possession of a post Graduate Diploma or
    Masters Degree in Business Administration majoring in Sales and Marketing
    will give an added advantage.
  • At least three years’ experience in busy
    FMCG fields in similar positions
  • Excellent analytical, creativity,
    innovative, selling, customer care and competitor management skills.
  • Should have a positive attitude, effective
    communication, professional presentation, high level of integrity and
    confidentiality, ability to work extra hours, self-driven, flexible,
    results focused, work under pressure with minimum supervision.
