Nurture Africa (NA) is a Non-Governmental Organisation operating in
Wakiso, Hoima, Arua and Mubende Districts. NA is committed to contribute
towards the health and development of the most vulnerable children in its areas
of operation through high quality education, health care, Children’s rights and
Sustainable livelihood programs enabling them to become positive influences in
Ugandan society. Its primarily targets HIV infected and affected orphans and
vulnerable children and works with their families holistically to enable
sustainable change to occur.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:

- The IT Officer will be responsible for the
setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of computers, laptops, phones,
cameras and other IT peripherals like printers, scanners. - Software (windows) setup, updating and
troubleshooting. - Actively participate in application/
software piloting and implementation. - Carry out various IT training and end users
support. - Ensures the availability, continuity,
security, safe storage and back up of data and information pertaining to
the organization - Perform any other duties as may be
assigned to you.

Experience:

- The ideal candidate for the IT Officer job
vacancy should preferably hold a BSc. in Computer Science/ Information
Technology. - At least five years’ working experience in
related work - Technical Skills in various software
installations, Up-dates and maintenance. - Microsoft Servers Administration skills
- Desirable knowledge in setting up and
managing cloud based systems is an added advantage - Previous experience in computer networking
- Highly flexible to work under pressure
