Congo (DRC). The range of services and products have grown beyond General
Insurance to include Life Assurance, Property Investments, and Fund Management
and related Financial Services such as insurance premium financing, financial
advisory and securities brokerage.
Job Summary: The Security
Coordinator assists with the day to day administration of facilities security
systems and processes, including the overseeing of the respective facilities
security guards both internal and outsourced, through own efforts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
Security Maintenance:
  • Assist in administering security equipment
    and ensuring that the equipment is maintained to standard, using a
    Maintenance Service Report from the vendor as a management toll.
  • Assists in conducting routine spot checks
    on security equipment for maintenance purposes.
  • Responsible for attending to faults on
    equipment and liaising with the Business Security manager regarding any
    specialized cases.
  • Work closely with the Business Security
    Manager, attends to security reports on security equipment failure, breach
    of security procedures, and incidences recorded in the Occurrences Book
    from Departmental Managers, Guards or from Security System reports via
    Messenger or the phone.
  • Attends to Security Action Reports as
    assigned by the Business Security Manager.
  • Assists in the selection of any
    replacement / new Security equipment as required by the chief Security
    Officer.
Premises Security:
  • Assists with security investigations e.g.
    thefts, damage to property, other irregularities and industrial accidents
  • Assists with on-the-job training of staff
    on security procedures and standards and security awareness.
Personal Effectiveness;
  • Accountable for service delivery through
    own efforts.
  • Individually accountable for managing own
    time, tasks and output quality for periods of 1 day to a maximum of 3
    months.
  • Makes increased contributions by
    broadening individual skills.
  • Collaborates effectively with others to
    achieve personal results.
  • Accepts and lives the company values.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant should preferably hold
    relevant qualifications and experience in Security
  • Personal Competencies: Technical
    Knowledge, Team Orientation, Planning & Organising, Ownership,
    Initiating Action, Decision Making
