Administration Manager
whose vision is a Uganda where everybody accesses high quality cancer
information, care and support services. Our mission is to reduce the prevalence
of cancer and cancer deaths through supporting mass cancer awareness campaigns,
cancer screening, cancer care at facility and home, funding hospital cancer
screening equipment, cancer drugs, and cancer research.
Mobilization Officer will develop and implement UCF Resource Mobilization
Strategy
Responsibilities:
- Keenly review and implementation of UCF
Resource Mobilization Strategy; - Proactively seek funding opportunities
from institutional donors in Uganda and globally; - Conduct donor mapping and build strong
pipeline of opportunities for major institutional donors; - Build, initiate and strengthen
relationships with donors at the National, Regional and International
levels and lead in programmes that will facilitate this; - Research and analyze donor calls for
funding applications including expressions of interest and requests for
proposals; - Offer technical support and advice on
grant proposal development to the programme team members; - Raise an agreed grant target from
institutional donors and bilateral donors; - Capacity building of staff and partners to
improve quality of project design and quality of proposals; - Develop innovative approaches in
mobilizing non-financial resources locally and internationally; and
develop a strategy for obtaining this regularly; - Ensure coordinated management of proposal
development processes and submission of high quality funding applications
in a timely manner; - Effectively link donor interests with the
organization’s Strategic and Programmatic priorities; - Build strong partnerships with other
development partners, agencies and networks for future consortia
formations.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a
University degree in Economics, Project Planning, Social sciences or
related development field with demonstrated evidence of securing funding
from major institutional donors, and other funding agencies. A Masters’
degree in a related development field is an added advantage; - At least five years of relevant
professional experience in a related field and in non-profit resource
mobilization; - Excellent track record in fundraising and
resource mobilization at local, regional and international levels; - Proven computer skills and knowledge of
Microsoft software including MS Word processing, Power point presentation,
Excel spreadsheets, e-mail and web-based research; - Proven skills in effectively working,
coordinating and negotiating with local institutions and organizations,
donors, embassies, and other development partners; - Excellent networking and partnership
building skills with experience in networking with local and international
NGOs, CSOs, donors, Ministry-level partners, and other organizations; - Extensive knowledge of various donor requirements
and proven ability to develop and write winning grants proposals; - Extensive knowledge in Programme planning,
design development and management; - Proven ability in grant management
reporting; - Demonstrated ability to work
collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment; - Dynamic, self-motivated and ability to
work independently; - Team builder and player.
