- The Warders/Wardresses should hold be
Ugandan who possess “O” level certificate with at least four credits
including one in English and a pass Mathematics. NB: University graduates
and Diploma holders should NOT apply - The applicants must be physically fit
- Ready to undergo both oral and written
interviews - Ready to undergo thorough Medical
Examination on reporting for training to confirm suitability to undergo
the training. - Age: Between 18-30 years

Prisons Commanders’ offices or Regional Prisons Offices nearest to you. The

- Hand written application letter
- Three photocopies of certificates/result
slips - Three (03) recent passport size
photographs - Copy of National Citizenship Identity Card
and ID of former school - Of good conduct with no criminal record
and a letter of recommendation from LC I, Chairpersons of their villages
endorsed by LC II and III Chairpersons of districts of origin.
Successful applicants should be ready to undergo a minimum of
nine-month Basic Prisons Officer’s Training Course.
