Job Summary: The Accounts
Payable Accountant will be responsible for the accounts payable management of
the company.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Process and record invoices for payment
    timely and accurately.
  • Verify invoices against contract terms and
    other agreements.
  • Sort and match invoices and check
    requests.
  • Set up invoices for payment and reconcile
    payments.
  • Prepare and process accounts payable
    checks, wire transfers and ACH payments Process and record monthly AP
    accruals.
  • Tasked with reconciliation of payable
    accounts with supplier statements.
  • Prepare and submit aging summary reports.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain the vendor/supplier file, while
    corresponding to their inquiries.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up
    to date
  • Offer support in month end closing.
  • Process cash advance and reimbursements
    for staff, Manage and reconcile accounts of cash, bank, AP and AR.
  • Work with banks, related departments for
    the cash management issues.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by
    superior.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the CNOOC Accounts
    Payable Accountant job opportunity should hold a Bachelors degree or above
    in finance, accounting or related fields.
  • At least three years of related working
    experience.
  • Previous experience in building and
    managing relationships with key government officials is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of financing,
    accounting and banking,
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS and other
    GAAP.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting software
    package or related.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of Oil
    E&P.
