children and families to partake their rights and promote social
transformation. In doing this, it focuses on issues of child health, child
rights and family livelihoods that affect families in rural and hard to reach
areas in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Monitoring Evaluation
and Learning Manager is the lead program design specialist tasked to initiate
program development and performance improvement in relationship to three
aspects; program planning, preparation and monitoring. The incumbent will
provide technical leadership in learning, documenting and designing key program
interventions
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • In charge of reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness, impact and directions
    of program activities.
  • Responsible
    for documenting broader program experiences in a way that contributes to
    the development of appropriate policy and influences donors and other
    partners.
  • In
    charge of defining indicators of performance and ensuring a mechanism of
    monitoring and evaluating the various activities of the program.
  • Providing
    technical expertise in the areas of program development and evaluation to
    meet the intended benefit to project clients.
  • Establishing
    and implementing standardized procedures that ensure the integrity
    of the organization growth plan and data management.
  • Format
    data, develops and prepares reports, charts, tables and other related
    documents and graphics.
  • Participate
    with statisticians in the development of statistical methodology, study,
    and design and data analysis.
  • Providing
    leadership for all staff in the M&E unit.
  • Perform
    any other duties as assigned by the Board and management.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should preferably hold
    a first degree in any of the
    following: Monitoring and evaluation, Economics, statistics or
    related fields.
  • At
    least three years of professional experience working in the same in a similar
    position.
  • Excellent
    knowledge in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Previous
    exposure and experience in project management.
  • Good
    working knowledge of modern telecommunication systems, IT-know-how
    (MSOffice, Access or other database program).
  • Excellent
    written and oral communications skills in English.
