Directors
Limited (PACMECS) operates and maintains an electricity distribution network in
the Northern Service Territory.
Executive Officer will oversee, control, coordinate the business of the
cooperative. The incumbent will provide technical advice about the business to
board of directors and the members of cooperative society and other stake
holders.
- Increases management’s effectiveness by
recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and
disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives;
assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results;
developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and
opinions; providing educational opportunities. - Develops strategic plan by studying
technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions;
recommending objectives. - The jobholder accomplishes subsidiary
objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements;
allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections. - The jobholder coordinates efforts by
establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical
services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate
staff. - Builds company image by collaborating with
customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing
ethical business practices. - Maintains quality service by establishing
and enforcing organization standards. - Maintains professional and technical
knowledge by attending educational workshops;
reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;
benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional
societies. - Contributes to team effort by
accomplishing related results as needed. - Ensure that the conditions given in the
external agreement of the cooperatives are followed, like the Concession
Agreement the license from ERA and the power supply agreement with UETCL. - Carry out any other task that might be
allocated by the board of directors and Annual General Meeting. - Serve as the Chief accounting officer of
the cooperative.
Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Master’s degree
in Business Administration preferably in management and related field and
five years working experience in reputable organization. - Degree in electrical engineering from
reputable institution Plus Master in Business Administration Qualification
such as ACCA,CPA, CIMA etc. is an added advantage. - Skills: Performance Management,
Staffing, Management Proficiency, Coordination, Coaching, Developing
Standards, Financial Planning and Strategy, Process Improvement, Decision
Making, Strategic Planning, Quality Management. - Age: Between 30 – 45 years.
