Job Summary: The
Administrator: Bancassurance will service customers and Officer, Bancassurance
through the provision of back office/policy fulfilment administration for the
Bancassurance business area.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Contacts clients; obtain quotes and
    confirms terms (and negotiates where applicable within mandate) with
    insurers and brokers
  • Regularly monitors outstanding premiums
    and progress in claims using the outstanding premium and outstanding
    claims report from ski system.
  • Extracts Bancassurance leads report from
    the sales force tool and share with the officer Bancassurance on a weekly
    basis and present to Manger, Bancassurance. Tracks open quotes from ski
    system and ensure these actioned and closed accordingly.
  • Performs a liaison role between the
    Customer, and all other internal support divisions of the Bank.
  • Provides analysis on the penetration of
    the Bancassurance products into core bank products and reports on lapses.
    Record and monitor claims settlements.
  • Ensures that all proposal and claims forms
    from the branches and Relationships managers have accurate information and
    all the requirements prior to submitting to insurance.
  • Provides complete disclosure to customers
    in terms of accreditation, service fees and commission in terms of
    regulatory requirements.
  • Adheres to record keeping requirements as
    outlined by regulatory and legal requirements in country.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The applicant for the Stanbic Bank Administrator:
    Bancassurance career opportunity should hold a First Degree in any
    business related field from a recognized university
  • Other qualifications:  certifications or professional
    memberships Certificate of Proficiency in insurance, Intermediate
    Certificate of Insurance or Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute
  • At least three to four years’  experience in administration support in
    servicing clients within a banking environment with experience in
    technical requirements of insurance and COP training.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the
    benefits and compensation landscape and ability to transact and manage the
    process.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the
    features, benefits and pricing of the products and services on offer to
    business banking customers
  • Demonstrated ability to review existing
    processes with the view to find better ways to execute tasks on a
    continuous basis
  • Proven ability to handles queries
    effectively and formulate appropriate responses
