Relief and Development (ARD)
organization dedicated to work with children and families in Uganda, to rise
above their daily pressing needs. The Vision of ARD is community where children
and families are able to live their full potential. Its mission is to Work with
children and families to partake their rights and promote social
transformation. In doing this, it focuses on issues of child health, child
rights and family livelihoods that affect families in rural and hard to reach
areas in Uganda.
Coordinator Post-Harvest Loss Reduction will plan and coordinate training,
distribution and reporting for the household hermetic technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Plan,
conduct and lead community mapping for CSO’s and beneficiary
households. - The
incumbent will link with private-sector actors who promote hermetic
technologies (silos, SGB’s, tumplines, etc.). - Actively
participate in baselines on food security equipment base on identified
cohorts. - Support
the project team and Local government staff project staff to
institutionalize PHLR proper program implementation. - Carry
out routine stakeholder engagement and collaboration on Post-Harvest Loss
Reduction. - Provide
technical back stopping for integrating Post-Harvest Loss Reduction into
Nutrition, WASH, Education and HIV/AIDS and TB. - Preparing
and submitting activity reports in line with the organisation and donor
requirements/compliance standards. - Conduct
audit and stock counts for PHLR stores and CSO distribution points. - Perform
any other roles as assigned by the Project Team Leader.
Experience:
- The applicants should degrees in Marketing. Post graduate qualifications
in Marketing preferably CIM. - At
least three years of professional working in the similar environment
preferably FMCG industry. - Skills in setting, managing and achieving targets in marketing.
- Previous
exposure and experience in managing teams. - Preferred
experience in Fast Moving and Consumer Goods. - Business
and marketing. - Excellent
planning and communication skills - Capacity
to undertake multiple assignments
