in South Africa. Our business is operating and maintaining Nalubaale and Kiira
hydroelectric Power Stations. Their mission is to be the “Centre of Excellence
in Power Concession Management.”
Engineer will handle all necessary repairs, maintenance and modifications
required for improvement on the two power stations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide inputs for the business strategic
plan to the supervisor - Prepare a system Life of Plant Plan in
line with the business obligations. - Provide support in the development of
strategies for achievement of organizational mission, core values and
business objectives. - Prepare and submit Monthly System
Engineering reports and any other report as may be required by the
Business and stake holders. - Maintain a system engineering spares list
in Mechanical systems - Maintain or follow up on mechanical system
plant documentation either internally or by contractors. - Carry out Initiation, planning,
execution/implementation, controlling and closure of mechanical plant
modifications/projects - Provide input (s) to the Mechanical action
plan and budgets in accordance with the business’ plan and company budget
guidelines - Ensure safety for both equipment and
people working in the Mechanical department including issuing of Special
Operating Instruction. - Comply with all maintenance activities
that are geared towards compliance with Grid code, PPA, license and the
concession agreement.
Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering - At least three years of related experience
- Computer literacy is an added advantage
