Trade Product Manager will lead and coordinate Citibank Uganda’s initiative to
build a profitable trade business that has a strong potential to grow to $3MM
by 2018, develop, maintain and convert a deal pipeline that brings that desired
growth in revenue and market share. The
position presents opportunity to do structured trade transactions which will
enable the Product Manager to transfer knowledge to the in-country team and
market. Key activities are Trade market
sizing, Pipeline development, Trade Strategy development, Product development
and implementation, Trade transaction closure, Process improvements, Customer
and Relationship Managers product training, Customer contact and Active,
continuing communication with product partners (coverage, operations, service).
Develop
a trade strategy for the business unit
Carry
out Trade market sizing to identify potential trade wallet and opportunities
Development
of a trade product pipeline to ensure revenue momentum is sustained
Support
the Relationship Management team by attending customer calls to help originate
trade deals, preparation of complex, structured trade proposals and
presentations to customers
Develop,
maintain and review Trade product programs for effective use and marketing
advantage
Actively
support new trade product development, roll out and revenue maximisation
Conduct
monthly review of the trade business with seniors
Attend
Credit Round Table meetings with the senior credit chain to support trade
transactions
Develop
an effective training program for trade knowledge enhancement of staff and
customers
Offer
technical support to Trade Back office, TTS coverage and other teams involved
in marketing of trade products
Review
trade product pricing periodically and carrying out competitor analysis
Establish
and maintain communications with Operations and Technology, Client Coverage and
customers to support the enhancement of sales knowledge, current issues and
developments and effective delivery of trade products
Serve
as the contact point for customers for complex trade transactions
Maintenance
of working contact with internal and external counsel as regards legal
expertise on trade structures
Monthly
review of trade revenues to ensure all revenues are properly accounted for and
mapped to Trade Product.
In
charge of the development and implementation of customer trade strategies in
Uganda.
Tasked
with delivering trade revenue goals via cross sell, customer acquisition, and
retention and deal closure. Maintaining a strong deal pipeline, and closure of
new business
Relationship
building with key regional decision-makers in customer organisations.
P and
L Management – pipeline and financial management disciplines.
The
applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Demonstrable
work experience
Previous
experience in Trade back office is preferred
Ability
to structure transactions bearing in mind key risk aspects
Excellent

communication and interpersonal skills
Capability
