Job Summary: The
Social Protection Coordinator will offer technical management and supervision
of the distribution activities at district level with a view to ensure quality
food programming, systems and procedures and accountability within the
framework of World Vision, Partner and Donor standards and guidelines and the
sphere standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
Program Management:
·        
Plan
and oversee the implementation of activities in the Protection sector in
Bidibidi Emergency Programme, ensuring the timely delivery of a quality
protection initiatives, effective reporting mechanisms are developed and are
operational, regular monitoring occurs against log frames, implementation plan
and individual work plans are developed and performance management is
undertaken).
Partnership Management:
·        
Build
and maintain working partnerships and good communication with representatives
of UNHCR, OPM and other partners;
·        
Build
and maintain partnership with local NGOs and local governance structures that
work on the Human Rights protection in emergencies programme;
·        
Work
in liaison with the Field Coordinator, organize monthly meetings with
implementing partners to discuss progress and challenges in the protection
sector.
Human Resources and Capacity
Building:
·        
Provide
Support supervision, and on job coaching for all Protection staff and structures
·        
Ensure
a timely performance management has been conducted for all staffs in the
protection sector using the available tools.
·        
Guide
the Response Manager on staffing needs and organization in the protection
sector
·        
Provide
technical support and capacity building for the Child Protection Facilitators,
collaborating partners, and other structures in the protection sector (child
protection, GBV)
·        
Conduct
trainings for relevant local NGOs and local authorities on Protection and child
rights
·        
Work
closely with other agencies support the child protection officer to facilitate
tracing and reunification of unaccompanied and separated children with their
relatives;
·        
Support
to the compilation and analysis of protection monitoring information for
sharing with partners and donors
·        
Ensure
that all protection staff is complying with the code of conduct and the child
protection policy
Coordination and Advocacy:
·        
The
incumbent will support community and child protection facilitators to ensure
that unaccompanied, separated and orphaned children arriving in the camp are
identified upon arrival in the camp, their social history documented, foster
families identified and the children are successfully fostered;
·        
Chair
Child Protection working/coordination meetings (Protection, and other meetings
and forums and take a leading role to strengthen a Protection system.
·        
Ensure
that programme interventions continue to be informed by and integrated with
other core sectors of World Vision, such as WASH, food security &
livelihoods
·        
Ensure
activities are developed in partnership with relevant local authorities and
other key stakeholders, including local partners (where present) and aim to
establish/strengthen processes and mechanisms at local, district, and national
levels. Promote the participation of children in all aspects of the response
where possible and appropriate.
·        
Continuously
identify and document Protection issues in Bidibidi and ensure that relevant
stakeholder and duty bearers are informed
·        
Actively
contribute to the development of case studies for the purpose of reporting,
advocacy and media effort
Monitoring and Evaluation:
·        
Ensure
that weekly situation reports, monthly, quarterly, midyear and annual reports
are written and submitted to the emergency Program Manager within the specified
time
·        
Develop
project monitoring plans, tools and ensure that every stakeholder is aware of
their roles
·        
Develop
personal monitoring plans (including concrete objectives) for each direct
subordinate
·        
Ensure
that protection information is used effectively to advocate on important issues
within crisis response and longer term planning for target populations;
·        
Ensure
that the sectoral data is managed appropriately in terms of storage and
circulation.
·        
Support
in the development of new proposals and concept notes in the protection sector
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The applicant for the World Vision Social Protection Coordinator job
placement should hold a Bachelor’s Degree
in Social Work, Business administration, Social Administration, Development, Education
or related field
·        
A
minimum of three years’ experience of relief work relating to CiE with two
years in community development programming
·        
Self-motivated
with excellent management and leadership skills
·        
Computer
literacy skills
·        
Knowledge
of WV peace building and advocacy approaches and models
·        
Excellent
communication skills
