Lutheran World Relief is a US non-profit organization that works with
local partners to provide lasting solutions to poverty, injustice and human
suffering. LWF Uganda works to reduce people’s vulnerability, supporting them
to realize their potential, to build on their assets, and to respond to their
own problems and needs. LWF Uganda currently has five areas of operation in
Pader, Kitgum, Adjumani, Katakwi, Sembabule, Kampala and Kamwenge Districts.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant must also hold an Ordinary
    Level Certificate of Education.
  • The ideal candidate for the Lutheran World
    Relief (LWR) Driver job vacancy should hold a  current, valid Uganda driver’s license
    and is trained in defensive driving
  • Possess a clean and safe driving record,
    capable of driving Land cruisers
  • At least two years’ experience driving on
    all types of roads and various road conditions found in Uganda (i.e. in
    towns, on highways, on murram roads, through Kampala, in wet and dry
    seasons, etc.)
  • Preferred past experience working with a
    humanitarian or not-for profit organization.
  • Past mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Proficiency speaking any is an added
    advantage.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Must be willing to work in Moyo.
