established as a not-for-profit community institution in 2002 and it has
transformed from a private into a public University. Kabale University is,
therefore, a unique institution, enjoying the status of being the first ever
institution of its kind in Uganda, to metamorphose from private to public – and
having been granted a Charter – the last stage of accreditation by the Uganda
National Council for Higher Education.
The
Senior Communications and Branding Officer should preferably hold a Masters’
degree in Marketing or Mass Communication, Business Administration (with
options in either, Management, Public Policy, Marketing, or Finance), or
related fields.
A
minimum of five years’ experience in public relations, marketing, and
institutional development duties, in a reputable institution, two (2) of which
should have been at supervisory level.
Exceptional
oral and written communication and leadership skills.
Possess
good negotiation and relationship management skills to build, promote, and
maintain positive networks with internal and external stakeholders of the
University.
Impeccable
level of integrity; be duty-bound; and be willing to work for long hours.
Previous
experience in management of digital communication channels including social
media is an added advantage.
