entrepreneurial spirit to lead the launch and growth of a new product line for
a USD$15B multinational company. The
ideal candidate would have a history of successful sales and business
development experience in the private sector and some level of experience in
working with NGOs, government ministries, and/or other organizations involved
in rural development.
Responsibilities:
- Working with local manufacturing
partner(s) to design and execute an effective product distribution
strategy. - Develop and execute an effective marketing
and advertising strategy. - Supporting local distributors and retail
sales outlets with product training, messaging, and marketing materials. - Identifying actions to increase sales
and/or remove barriers to increasing sales. - Increasing product availability by
identifying potential retail outlets, selling the product benefits to
decision makers, and closing on product orders. - Supporting the broader corporate team in
optimizing the product portfolio to drive profitability. - Supporting related marketing and marketing
communication activities. - Work with VP/GM to design future
resourcing plans to support growth of product line.
Experience:
- The applicant must hold a four-year
College Degree with preference for an Engineering Related Field. - At least five years of proven experience
in sales and business development. - A hands-on, entrepreneurial leader with
personal energy required to launch and grow a new business. - Previous experience in working with NGOs
or other rural development agencies preferred. - Ability to travel domestically up to 60%.
- Experience in working with government
ministries and development NGOs highly preferred. - Strong communication and interpersonal
skills. - English language fluency required.
