Job Summary:  The Revenue Accountant will primarily ensure
proper accounting of revenues, debt management and provision of accurate and
timely management reports. The incumbent will also ensure that all revenues are
appropriately maintained and that work is guided through the application of
GAAPS and IFRS.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·        
Enforcing/Implementing
the company’s credit policy.
·        
The
incumbent will complete, timely and accurate billing of all sales orders to
ensure proper reporting of revenues.
·        
Conduct
daily/weekly/monthly revenue reconciliation of revenue between the control
account and other ledgers/sub ledgers.
·        
Ensure
adherence to discount policy to avoid revenue loss.
·        
In
charge of maintaining up to date correspondence files of all key accounts.
·        
Ensure
timely and accurate preparation of various credit control and revenue reports
including but not limited to commercials, debt status & collections.
·        
Responsible
for the implementation and enforcement of policies and controls related to
revenue and debt management.
·        
Handling
internal and external auditors and implementation of audit recommendations.
·        
Supporting
the commercial/sales team through provision of data on performance, targets and
processing of invoices and other documentation required from accounts.
·        
Actively
participate in end of month closure of books and management account reporting
that meets tight and strict deadlines.
·        
Maintaining
accurate sales commission schedule and reconciliation of the same to the sales
ledger on a weekly/monthly basis.
 Qualifications,
Skills and Experience: 
·        
The
ideal candidates for the NTV Uganda Revenue Accountant job placement must hold
a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Accounts/Finance
·        
Qualified
accountant with ACCA or CPA
·        
A
minimum of three years of relevant experience
·        
Working
knowledge of SAP accounting software (is added advantage)
·        
Broad
knowledge and understanding of confidentiality around critical business
information
·        
Keen
to details
·        
High
level of integrity
·        
Excellent
analytical skills
·        
Multitasking
skills
·        
Proficiency
in Ms Office especially Ms Excel
