recruiting for three positions for the USAID-funded PL 480 Title II Development
Food Aid programme called “Resiliency through Wealth, Agriculture and
Nutrition” (RWANU) in Karamoja. RWANU focuses on two strategic objectives to
reduce food insecurity among vulnerable rural populations in selected
sub-counties in 4 districts of Karamoja.
Programme Support Officer will support the Concern project teams in Karamoja
especially RWANU in the monitoring, implementation and evaluation of
activities.
Support
the KABP surveys on the Mother Care Groups, Male Change Agents and Health
Facility components of the programme.
Work
closely with Concern M&E and ACDI/VOCA M&E Department to maximise the
benefits of data collection and analysis across RWANU.
Collect
data for potential case studies, taking progress monitoring photos.
Conduct
data collection directly or in conjunction with project and local staff as
required.
Filed
supervision of the enumerators during surveys.
Offer
support in the writing and compilation of weekly monthly, six monthly and
annual narrative reports.
In
charge of reporting the findings or trends from data analysis and identifying
the need for further analysis or evaluation as required.
Provide
administrative support to M/E function and other areas within Concern
Worldwide.
Present
M&E’s activities and plans of action at weekly Concern meetings.
The
applicant for the USAID RWANU Programme Support Officer career opportunity
should preferably hold a University Degree in development related disciplines.
The
applicant should also hold a relevant diploma and or short courses in
Monitoring and Evaluation.
At
least three years of practical experience working with an International NGO in position
of Officer, preferably within M/E setting.
Previous
exposure and experience in Nutrition & WASH M+E will be an added advantage.
Previous
experience in working with MCG model and the MCA strategy.
Good
writing skills.
Fluency
in Karamojong language.
