registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The organization implements integrated
development approach combining Education, Health, Agriculture, Livestock,
Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.
Program Manager; Health, Nutrition and WASH will implement the activities of
HNW program with efficiency and professionalism to ensure the success of the program.
The incumbent will be responsible for heading the operations of the program as
a whole.
Provide
coordination, management and technical support for the successful
implementation of Health, Nutrition and Wash program portfolio.
Support
the corresponding team in the day-to-day management of the program and
projects.
Work
closely with in-Country partners, donors, stakeholders, head offices,
government officials etc.
Compile
and/or edit program documents such as work plans; program strategy documents;
narrative and financial reports; etc.
Actively
participate in the planning of program events such as workshops, conferences,
stakeholder meetings etc.
Ensure
proper implementation of all the Program related activities at the field level;
monitoring the key indicators of project implementation.
Prepare
and submit monthly, quarterly and annual program reports, and send all relevant
reports to the Country Representative and BI anchor as wets as to relevant
partners (monthly, quarterly, annual and other supporting documents) on all the
Project implementation.
Prepare
and update program training modules, BCC materials.
Incorporate
new innovations into the program in collaboration with the research department.
Manage
program portfolio – funds and budgets.
Develop
and write concept notes and proposals for additional projects and funding.
Carry
out necessary field trips and site visits to ensure effective implementation of
the project activities.
The
ideal candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, or
related fields.
A
minimum of seven years’ experience, three of which should be in a similar
position.
Excellent
monitoring, budgeting, project planning and project proposal writing skills.
Relevant
professional certification (i.e., in project management and technical knowledge
and experience in the relevant field.
Ability
to work in a multidisciplinary environment with minimum disruptions.
Ability
to create and sustain long term partnerships with other development actors
including other international agencies, donors and government.
Excellent
communication skills (both written and spoken) including report writing and
oral presentations.
Ability
to work under minimum supervision and excellent attention to detail.
