Programme Manager
(UYONET) is a regional focused leading umbrella Youth CSO Network that works to
mainstream young peoples’ engagement in development and governance processes in
East Africa and beyond. UYONET was started in 2002 to respond to the increasing
demand for a collective platform for research, training and policy advocacy for
young people by young people. With a membership of 31 district networks
constituted by over 147 youth organizations, UYONET has continued to be the
apex of youth programming and designing appropriate interventions that respond
to the needs of the youth across the region.
- Provide
an overall coordination in implementation of the organization’s M&E
framework - Develop
M&E plans to effectively analyze and present project/programme reports
in a synchronized manner and upload them through the online systems on
time consistently. - Develop
tools and processes that support qualify programme monitoring and
evaluation in close coordination with the Programme Manager and respective
Programme Department Officers in Policy Advocacy on Youth Issues and
Membership and Partnership components. - Devise
terms of reference for carrying out base line studies as well as routine
and periodic monitoring of outputs and document and disseminate activities
and accomplishments of different interventions in form of reports and
social media sharing. - Establish
a reliable and consistent set of outcome indicators for all programme
activities as well as developing an organization – wide core set of
process indicators - Develop
in coordination with the Finance Department, a system to ensure that the
program planning, including inputs and targets is aligned with the overall
programme log frames and others types of M&E indicators - Ensure
timely compilation of internal and external progress reports on a monthly,
quarterly and annual basis - Develop
and maintain an effective M&E system for the organization and manage
the day-to-day operations of the M&E system - Provide
M&E support to UYONET partners and members organizations
- The
ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Social
Science, Development Studies or related field and a postgraduate Diploma
in Project Planning and Management - Formal
training in Monitoring and Evaluation will be an added advantage - A
minimum of three years’ experience in similar position - Demonstrated
competencies in setting up M&E systems will be an added advantage - Skilled
in promoting organization learning and knowledge acquisition and sharing - Analytical
and logical thinking - Excellent
report writing skills and ability to be creative and use of social media
