Job Summary: The Head Cameraman
supervises a team of cameramen combine the use of complex technologies with
creative visual skills to produce high quality video clips and sounds for
television broadcasting.

Responsibilities:

- Offer professional advice on how best to
shoot a scene, explaining the visual impact created by the angle of
particular shots - Assemble, prepare and set up equipment for
filming, which can include tripods, monitors, lighting, cables and
headphones - Be able to practice required positions for
pre-arranged shots - Operate a variety of technical equipment
including single/multiple portable, remote-control and electronic cameras,
cranes and mobile mountings. - Assemble, prepare and set up equipment
prior to filming, which may include tripods, monitors, lighting, cables
and leads and headphones; - The jobholder will coordinate the efforts
of site or studio crew to ensure that sufficient lighting is available - Operate cameras to capture moments on film
or to film people and places for various projects.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidates for the NTV Uganda Head Cameraman job placement must hold qualifications
in technical TV Production such as Videography, Audio & Digital Video
Editing - A minimum of three years of related
working experience in film production - Familiarity with using the following
Hi-tech camera recorders; Sony HXR-NX5M Card, JVC HD Memory Card, JVC
Studio cameras - Have an established evolving list of
integrated production sources and vendors - Proven ability to be creative and
innovative - Deep familiarity with all aspects of TV
production, including the technical process of film production and post,
and broadcast standards.
