About US:
Mt. Elgon Hospital started as a Private Limited Company incorporated in
February 2003 under the name Soroti Joint Medical Services Limited. Our area of
operation by then was Soroti Town where we ran a clinic up-to-date.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Provides day to day management and
    administration of the pharmacy
  • Planning, facilitation of drug supplies
    and support supervision to other cadres involved in the supply chain
  • Collects information and compiles reports
    of medicines and health supplies needs and their management in the
    hospitals
  • The incumbent is the secretary to drugs and
    therapeutics committee
  • A member of the procurement committee
  • Actively participates/advices in
    selection, quantification of supllies
  • Ensure medicines expiry on the shelves is
    minimized and that expired and other unwanted medicines and health
    supplies are appropriately and promptly disposed off.
  • Provides required pharmaceutical inputs
    for the hospital to the procurement committee.
  • Carries out any other duties as may be
    assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant for the Dispenser job
    opportunity must hold a Diploma in dispensing recognized by the Uganda
    pharmacy council
  • Hold a current practicing license
  • Good analytical skills
  • Must possess relevant information
    management skills including computer literacy
  • Good planning, coordinating and monitoring
    skills.
