has been implementing program in Uganda for over thirty years. ACF implements
Food Security and Livelihoods, Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
programs in the Lango, Acholi, West Nile and Karamoja regions in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Deputy
Field Coordinator-Support Services will be managing the operations of the
Logistics, HR and Finance departments at the field level and ensuring that
logistics, HR and finance process and procedures are respected at the field
level and for coordinating the work of these departments with the relevant
Coordinators in Kampala.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Manage the implementation of HR Management
    of the Field Base.
  • Oversee the financial management of the
    Field Base.
  • Oversee the logistics management of the
    field base.
  • Oversee the management of Action Against
    Hunger’s Compound, Office, and Guesthouse.
  • Manage the Support Costs of Field Base.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s
    degree in Finance/Logistics/HR or Business Administration studies or any
    other related field.
  • A minimum of three years of INGO
    experience, with previous experience in either Finance/Logistics/HR or as
    an Operations Manager.
  • At least three years INGO experience, in a
    management role.
  • The ideal candidate must be a seasoned
    humanitarian professional
  • Possess good budgeting and grant
    management skills.
  • Previous experience in logistics procedures.
  • Broad knowledge, understanding and
    experience of Humanitarian Principles.
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in communicating in
    different cultural work environments.
  • Good anticipation, planning skills,
    especially in changing work contexts.
  • Prior experience working in hardship
    locations.
  • Your work style builds trust within your
    team
  • Highly organized & pay attention to
    small details.
  • Be calm under pressure & able to
    easily adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Demonstrably able to set & communicate
    goals while also being genuinely committed to helping others succeed.
