Job Summary: The
Broker Relationship Manager’s responsibility is to manage relationships with a
portfolio of all Insurance Brokers and/or identifies and converts new account
opportunities, to drive profitable revenue growth. The incumbent will develop,
manage Broker Businesses and sales pipelines and/or identify, qualify and close
new business opportunities, working with Operations, Claims and Underwriting
colleagues to ensure successful delivery and timely Premium Collections.  His/her job is to accomplish business targets
and engage in and support business research, market intelligence and
development to promote continual innovation and business growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
 
·        
In charge
of developing, promoting and managing the overall Broker Distribution Channel
through business strategy developments and reviews to meet the agreed Company
Production and Profitability targets
·        
Achieving
Business targets through Planning, Strategy and Production target setting i.e.
Formulating sales strategies for different products and achieving agreed
targets
·        
Managing
the SLAs with the Insurance Brokers and ensuring implementation of the agreed
service levels in the SLAs i.e. ensuring timely service delivery as per agreed
standards
·        
Ensure
Timely Collection of Insurance Premiums from the Brokers in line with the
signed SLAs
·        
Building
and maintaining relationships within Insurance Brokers to thoroughly understand
their strategy, culture, personalities, customer base and decision making and
ensure they fully understand Phoenix Assurance propositions.
·        
Working
with Brokers on a day-to-day activity, training, motivating and developing
Incentive measures to meet long-term and short-term goals for Business growth
·        
Ensuring
compliance with regulations and procedures as laid down by the regulators by
keeping up to date with all changes in the regulatory framework;
·        
Conducting
weekly / monthly meetings with Brokers and Internal Staff to review
performance, disseminate company information, address common problems and
concerns and rally the team to achieve the set goals.
·        
In charge
of monitoring Loss Ratio and retention trends and works with Marketing Manager
to adjust Broker Channel operations to address underperforming results
·        
Organizing
and participating in Market Awareness Campaigns to increase the Company Brand
Visibility and Improve positioning
·        
Regularly
Meeting with Brokers to resolve issues where necessary.
·        
Perform
any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
·        
The applicant
should have prior experience in Customer Relationship, Business Development, Branch,
Sales or Insurance Manager Roles
·        
At least
three to five years’ working experience in insurance, banking, finance or
telecommunications sectors
·        
Insurance
industry Knowledge of the General Insurance Market and Operations is an Added
Advantage
·        
Successful
track record of meeting sales goals preferred.
·        
Sales
acumen – Practical intelligence and ability to handle different sales related
situations
·        
Result
Orientation- Performance oriented and should give due importance to goal
setting, performing and achieving.
·        
Excellent
interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
·        
Ability
to work in high pressure environment
·        
Computer
literacy skills i.e. proficiency in MS Office and other office applications
·        
Ability
to multitask – Prioritize and handle multiple work
