Job Summary: The Programme
Scheduler – Trainee will coordinate transmission and ensure that transmission
is as per the program schedule of the day, so as maintain the station standards
and meet business objectives.      
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
·        
Ensure that accuracy (program scheduling) is
maintained on the channel by preparing a daily transmission schedule                                        
·        
The incumbent will deliver the best content
experience possible by using audience insights, in-depth analysis, and industry
& competitor trends                                    
·        
The jobholder will preview programs to ensure
accurate duration of segments, editing/censorship according to the standards of
the station
·        
Provide programme profiles to the commercial
departments of all upcoming programs one month in advance
·        
Coordinate the schedule by ensuring timely
airing of acquired programmes, adverts, live shows, etc          
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
·        
The
ideal candidates for the NTV Uganda Programme Scheduler – Trainee jobs must hold a University degree
·        
Previous exposure and experience in broadcasting
is strongly preferred (Product and technical side)
·        
Excellent multi-tasking ability and attention to
detail is essential
·        
High level of personal resilience
·        
Broad knowledge and understanding of audience
drivers and viewership dynamics
·        
Excellent understanding of how the TV industry
works including the interfaces between brands, content creators / owners,
audiences and advertisers and synergy with digital trends
