Parliament (Cap 208) and is situated under the Presidency of the Republic of
Uganda. The Act provides for the Commission to Oversee, Plan and Coordinate
AIDS Prevention and Control activities throughout Uganda – in particular to
mobilize, expedite and monitor resources for the HIV/AIDS control programmes
and activities.
Resource Officer will manage the Human Resource management function of
recruitment, training and development, Payroll, staff welfare and motivation,
performance management and records management.
Responsibilities:
Keenly analyze the different jobs and develop
job descriptions and person specifications
The jobholder will coordinate the employee
recruitment and selection process
Prepare employment contracts, confirmation
letters and any other staff correspondences
The incumbent will develop and conduct employee
orientation and induction programmes
Prepare an annual training plan for the
Commission
Identifies training needs and training staff for
purposes of proper career development;
Organize and manage training programmes and
events in line with the Training Plan
Provide advice and assistance when conducting
staff performance evaluations
Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on
company policies and procedures
Prepares submissions in respect of appointment
and confirmation;
Experience:
The
applicant should hold an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social
Administration (SWSA) or Human Resources Management or Management Science or
Social Sciences (with Personnel/Human Resource Management as an option) or Arts
(with Personnel/Human Resource Management as an option) from a
recognized University PLUS
Possession
of a post-graduate qualification in Human Resource Management from a recognized
University/ Institution
A minimum of six (6) years’ experience in Human
Resource Management at the Level of HR/Personnel Officer in Government or
equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization
Personal Competences: Human Resource Management, Planning,
organizing and coordinating, Management of the organizational Environment,
Records and Information management, Coaching and mentoring; Concern
for quality and standards, Ethics and Integrity, Communicating Effectively;
Team work;
