Administration and Transport Logistics
Appoint, promote and exercise disciplinary
control over persons holding public office in Parliament;
Review the terms and conditions of service,
standing orders, training and qualifications of persons holding office in
Parliament;
Provide a Parliamentary reporting service;
Provide such other staff and facilities as are
required to ensure efficient functioning of the Parliament;
To cause to be prepared in each financial year,
estimates of revenue and expenditure for the next financial year; and
Make recommendations to Parliament, or with the
approval of Parliament, determine the allowances payable and privileges
available to the Speaker and Members of Parliament.
Officer – Automotive will carry out mechanical maintenance activities on a
broad range of equipment and systems
Responsibilities:
In charge of inspecting vehicles in fleet and
document requirements for repairs or maintenance
Offering technical advice and resolution on
mechanics related concerns
Routinely inspect completed works and observe
operations to ensure conformance to sound mechanical conditions and safety
standards
Preparing specifications, requisitions and
follow-up procurements of vehicle parts and servicing
Developing safety procedures and coordinating
the vehicle maintenance and service schedules
Attending to and documenting any vehicle
breakdowns or accidents
Work closely with contracted firms to ensure
high standards of motor vehicle repair and maintenance
Conduct routine checks and inspection on all
vehicles in the fleet
Conducting weekly tool inventory and report
losses or damage
Training drivers in simple diagnostics,
troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance
Reporting all vehicle/fleet maintenance issues
to supervisor
Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold an Honours
Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering obtained from a recognized
university / Institution
Good automotive diagnostic skills
Proficiency in auto mechanics
Possess a clean and valid driving permit
Ability to accurately ascertain vehicle
maintenance, service and repair needs
Excellent communication skills
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Age: 21 years and above
