Capacity Building Officer will offer support in the development, planning and
implementation of training and development strategy, policy and training
program for staff at all levels for purposes of promoting organizational
learning and development.
Develop training policy and related training
tools that support the overall business
plan
Work in close conjunction with the Head of HR,
sets training function performance standards and functional objectives
Supervise and manage the day to day training and
capacity building activities
Prepare portfolio of planned trainings in the
year and prepare a training calendar
Design and develop training curriculum for staff
and management
Identify internal, external resources to develop
deliver trainings and Co-facilitate trainings
Work in close conjunction with department heads,
identifies core technical, management, supervisory and general training needs
for staff
Carry out interviews with supervisors to
identify training needs
Establish training needs coming from the
appraisal through the respective supervisors
Develop and coordinate orientation and induction
programmes
Identify and inform facilitators
Prepare the required material and logistics for
the respective trainings
Receive and review applications
Work closely with line managers to establish
their needs for internship
In charge of monitoring training programme and
advising management on the relevancy
Develop and monitor service level agreements
with external and internal training resources
capacity building reports and other briefs as and when required.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related discipline
At least three years’ experience in human
resource management particularly training and development
Proven experience of capacity building and
learning theory
Ability to find and mobilise resources to
support our capacity building work
Ability to develop suitable materials for
capacity building
Good presentation and facilitation skills for
the dissemination of information
Excellent communication, networking, and
inter-personal skills
Flexibility and ability to cope with changes in
priorities
