Manager leads the entire CD team and ensures that primary and secondary sales
objectives are regularly being achieved. He/she develops the ‘Route to Market’
strategy together with the Managing Director and ensures implementation. He /
she oversees performance of relevant 3rd parties, esp. Importer, Key
Distributors and Smollan
is a member of Ugandan Country Leadership Team
Responsibilities:
Sets ambitious targets & monitors closely
for performance, initiates timely corrective actions
Ensures full implementation of RTM action plans
as defined
Develops a territory / outlet coverage strategy
in line with our Euro 100m vision
Creates trade activation plan and delivers EDGE
as defined through the Perfect Store
Safeguards our intellectual property rights and
takes necessary actions against copycats
Drives talent agenda within the CD team, by
recruiting top talent and consistently building CD skills and capabilities.
Creates a winning spirit within his/her team
Ensures optimal resource utilization and
consistent performance management
Manages the value chain from turnover till RSP
incl. distributor profitability and ROI
Maintains good business relationships with
distributors and key accounts through JBP
Consistently drives ROMI improvements for all
trade / distributor / retailer related budgets
Responsible for cash collection (locally
manufactured products) with support from Finance
Responsible for providing reliable short term
forecast for S&OP incl. Risk & Opps
Provide the leadership team with weekly updates
on secondary sales across the channels / customers as well as market /
competitor insights
Builds and maintains great relationships with
relevant government bodies and independent business associations
Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Unilever National
Sales Manager career vacancy should have at least five to eight years of
relevant field sales force / territory management experience (working with KD’s
and ext. FF)
At two years of brand building experience
A minimum of two years of trade category
management / customer marketing
Outstanding leadership skills
Good negotiation / influencing skills
Good problem solving skills
Computer literacy and IT skills i.e. proficiency
in Excel / PPT / Leverage
