Regulatory Authority of Uganda to transact general insurance business in
Uganda. PAX, whose ownership comprises over 10 million people all over Uganda,
was set up to provide affordable insurance services to individuals and
organizations throughout the country. PAX is focused on fostering Uganda’s
prosperity through offering widespread access to appropriate risk management
solutions.
Responsibilities:
The Manager –Business Development &
Partnerships will serve as an effective member of the Executive Committee
In charge of business development planning
Responsible for new business development
Partnerships Management (including negotiations
with banks and insurance brokers)
Responsible for client retention and market
research
In charge of corporate image management
Provide underwriting and claims support
Carry out market intelligence
In charge of Product innovation
Develop and maintain business linkages with
other underwriters through co insurance and facultative placements
Ensure business acquisition is in compliance
with statutory provisions.
Responsible for recruitment and training of the
sales force.
Ensure a robust broker support and retention
Ensure the Company brand is respected and
maintained
Conduct special and other assignments for the
General Manager and Chief Executive Officer
Experience:
The Manager
–Business Development & Partnerships
must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
Possession
of a certificate in insurance
A
minimum of eight years of post-graduation working experience
At
least six years of experience at senior management level
Four
years of experience in marketing
A
minimum of two years of experience in insurance
Broad
knowledge of insurance services sector in Uganda
Possession
of Marketing and Public relations skills
Fluency
in a major local language that is widely used in Western Uganda
Ability
to build effective teams
Working
productively with senior managers
Ability
to multitask
Excellent
written and verbal communication skills
Good
negotiation skills
Ability,
willingness and readiness to conform to the PAX values
