Solar is the global leader of “pay-as-you-go” energy for off-grid customers.
Since its commercial launch in October 2012, M-KOPA has connected more than
200,000 homes in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to solar power, and is now adding
over 500 new homes each day. The success of M-KOPA (M= mobile, KOPA= to borrow)
stems from making solar products affordable to low-income households on a
pay-per-use installment plan. Customers acquire solar systems for a small
deposit and then purchase daily usage “credits” for US $0.45, or less than the
price of traditional kerosene lighting. After one year of payments customers
own their solar systems outright and can upgrade to more power.
Agents will be responsible for generating sales through leads provided.
- Generate sales leads and interest for M-KOPA
add on products using scripts, product knowledge and communications skills - Make and receive calls from potential
customers using operating telephone equipment, automatic dialer systems,
and other telecommunications technologies - Document
customer information, queries on Customer Relationship Management
(CRM) and transactions by
completing forms and record logs in line with MKOPA data collection policy
- Maintain customer experience levels within
the quality standards stipulated and recommend needed changes according to
MKOPA customer care policies - Receive and resolve client complaints in line
with MKOPA customer care guidelines
- Escalate the sales process as per work load
- The ideal candidate for this position should
at least hold a bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline in customer
care and sales - One year of experience in sales
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and
written - Result oriented
- Possess a sales oriented mindset with a high
degree of persuasion skills and maturity - Patient and persistent
- Service orientation and social perceptiveness
- Ability to remain composed while handling
stressful situations - Organized and meticulous in carrying out
duties - Good team player with pleasant disposition
- Numerate and quick thinker
- Ability to multi-task
- It is an added advantage if the candidate can speak Luganda,
Kiswahili and Runyakitala or any other local language of Uganda
