Kotido, established in 1991, is the social development arm of the Catholic
Diocese of Kotido. Caritas Kotido is mandated with the task of assessing the
needs of the people, designing and implementing developmental interventions
with the aim of changing their lives in Kotido Catholic Diocese. In the last
two decades, Caritas has worked mainly in the areas of social economic
development, particularly targeting poor farmers and pastoralists, women, and
people living with HIV/AIDS, as well as orphans and vulnerable children.

- Organize guidance individual/group
counselling sessions with students, ensure possibilities of growth and
help them to prepare vocational goals; assists students in developing
their career plans in relationship to their needs, interests, and
attitude. - Support the VTI in understanding student’s
career interests, needs, strengths and weaknesses through regular
meetings/communications. - Carry out stakeholder mobilization for
student enrolment/registration and effective project implementation. - Play active role to bridge the gap between
the VTI and community. - Conduct stakeholder mobilization for student

after training for personal development plan. - Conduct a needs assessment on each
beneficiary to determine his or her counselling needs and support. - Carry out specific duties and functions as
assigned by the supervisor/project manager.
- The ideal candidate must hold a Diploma in
Education (Technical/Vocational Skills Training). - A minimum of two years of experience in
Educational programming with reputable institution or NGO. - Significant experience and skills in
community action planning, networking and research, analysis and report
writing. - Previous experience in working with
Faith-based organizations. - Skills, knowledge and competence
- Good leaderships skills
- Prior experience dealing with youths.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent Communication skills
- Excellent Computer Skills (Ms word, excel
etc.) - Self-Motivated individual Working with
minimum supervision • Creativity and innovativeness. - Familiarity with issues on development
context in Karamoja. - Hold a valid riding permit.
