and Administration Manager

national and international levels in the areas of sexual and reproductive
health, livelihoods and civic participation. Our model is bottom up and
holistic, focusing on individual leadership change amongst young people as well
as systematic changes in policy and practice towards a more supportive
environment for youth-led development.
Finance and Administration Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day finance
operations, Lead Accounting function, Lead office and administration and
Management, Team management and development and provide support to Fundraising
and Partnerships unit
Responsibilities:
Finance and Administration coordinator will:
Work
closely with the unit and Programme teams to manage the quarterly budget reforecasting
process
Work
to support SFAM to produce monthly management accounts and coordinate input
from PMs/PCs on variance analysis
The
jobholder will also support the internal audit function to ensure all
preparations are duly coordinated from all units and closely monitor
implementation of the internal audit actions.
Provide
required support for external audit as may be required
Statutory
compliance by ensuring that PAYE, NSSF and other returns are duly filed
in time
Reconcile
intercompany transactions between Uganda and Restless Development Intl on a
monthly basis in finance force
Keenly
review and approve CSVs before upload in Finance force
Manage
the month end process
Build
and manage bank relationship at Head office and in all field offices
Ensure
information in Finance force is a true reflection of financial transactions
Provide
effective line and performance management to your team in accordance with
Restless Development policies ensuring they achieve the unit’s objectives
Develop
and build the capacity of the finance and admin team and non-finance staff to
strengthen compliance with policies and procedures
Uphold
Restless Development codes of conduct and staff policies at all times
Work
closely with team to ensure all cash and bank transactions are recorded on time
and accurately
Ensure
all financial transactions have the relevant authorisation and are made in
accordance with Restless Development financial procedures
Ensure
value for money is achieved in all transactions
Work
with team to ensure proper records of cash advances/accountabilities and
supplier payments are duly matched in financial force
Ensure
bank and cash reconciliations are duly carried out
Ensure
all financial records are filed according to financial policies
Work
closely with the finance Coordinator to carry out regular supplier reviews in
line with policy
Ensure
proper maintenance of office assets, equipment and vehicles
Uphold
procurement procedures and systems to ensure value for money at all times
Ensure
staff have all the required administration and Logistical support at all times
Provide
oversight to insurance to ensure all policies are duly updated as per
schedule at all times
Work
closely with the Fundraising, Partnerships unit Manager and other programme
staff to develop project budgets for partner organisations, trusts and
foundations applications as required
Ensure
required financial reports are duly prepared for partner organisations,
trusts and foundations as per schedule shared via google drive
Provide
financial information to support update of monthly fundraising funnel
Other
duties as required, sometimes requiring work on weekends, for which time
off in lieu can be taken
Act
as a role model to our staff and for young people in Uganda by upholding our
values and policies at all times
Experience:
The
ideal applicant for the Restless Development Senior Finance and
Administration Coordinator job opportunity must hold a Qualified accountant
A
minimum of five to six years of financial management experience
Significant
experience managing multi-donor funded programmes and organisations such as
USAID,EU, DFID, etc.
Budgeting,
consolidation and currency management experience
Significant
experience of reporting to international donors and working with international
partner organisations an advantage
Excellent
Excel skills
Significant
experience of managing staff members
Excellent
IT, written and verbal communication skills
Good
team player
Prior experience
working in an International NGO a significant advantage
Financial
Force Accounting experience preferable
Management
accounting background an advantage
The individual must be results-orientated,
highly self-motivated and have demonstrated analytical skills.
