Women’s Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO) is a national non-government
organization which was founded in 1986 by Ugandan mothers committed to
providing relief aid to needy children left parentless by the civil turbulence
of the mid-1980’s and the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
in partnership with Care International in Uganda and Government of Uganda plan
to reach out to 62,500 vulnerable households in 22 districts in Eastern Region
(i.e. Teso and Bugisu Sub Regions) through Livelihoods pathway over a three
year period (2016-2019). Creation of Community Savings and Credit Groups
(CSCGs), Business Skills Training and Financial Literacy Education are key interventions
of Project for Financial Inclusion in Rural Areas (PROFIRA) with funding from
IFAD/GOU.
- Actively promote the project to the community
stakeholders - Keenly monitor, coach and provide feedback to
Field Agents (FAs)to develop their skills in CSCGs methodology - Ensure the quality of Community Savings and
Credit Groups (CSCGs) through
regular field visits and spot checks - Organize and facilitate project events with
local leaders, FAs and groups as needed - Keenly review data collection of forms and
MIS reports and take action - Ensure timeliness and accuracy of agent
reporting

Supervisor career jobs must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business
Administration, Social work and any other related field - At least two years’ experience working with
community-based projects - Previous experience with savings group
programming. - Prior experience in monitoring and
supervision of the project team - Knowledge of the local socio-economic
environment - Willingness to reside within the area of
jurisdiction after appointment - Knowledge of VSLA Methodology is an added
advantage - Knowledge of local language(s) (Ateso, Kumam,
Lugishu, Luganda, Lugwere, Samia, Japadhola and Kiswahili) - Ability and willingness to ride a motorcycle
(Valid permit required ) - Age: Above 25 years
