Alliance
Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Alliance is a global based Alliance
that works towards a society free of poverty, in which all women and men, girls
and boys, and marginalized groups have the same rights irrespective of their
ethnic, cultural and religious background, age and gender. The Alliance
comprises five Ugandan organizations working to improve SRHR knowledge and
increasing access to sexual and reproductive health services.
- The National Programme Coordinator will facilitate
and coordinate programme development and preparation of the (Multi) annual
Country Work Plans - Manage the joint activity budget with support
from the Country Focal Point - Organise in-country annual planning and
review meetings; - Organise joint programme evaluations and
workshops to share experiences with implementing partners; - Facilitate and inspire country alliance
partners to collaborate and look for synergy at country level - The incumbent will identify the need for TA
(institutional and thematic) at country level for partners and the
alliance; - Coordinate the development and realisation of
operational research for the SRHR Alliance - Document evidence of good practice for both
internal and external learning - Take lead in coordinating the efforts of the
National Programme Team in which the country alliance partners are represented; - The incumbent will develop new and review
existing Alliance materials to align with programme goals - Identify, develop and manage relevant
partnerships with government, donors, NGOs and other key stakeholders - Lead joint advocacy efforts of the Country
Alliance in Uganda, especially for national SRHR agendas - Serve as a credible representative of the
SRHR alliance and all its programs in events and coordination meetings; - Coordinate and give guidance on the
facilitation of experience sharing and scaling-up best practices among
alliance partners.
- The applicant must hold a Master’s degree in
Public Health, health sciences or related field - A minimum of seven years of progressive
responsible experience in SRHR program management, advocacy and managing
strategic partnerships. - Excellent communication (written and oral)
skills; - Excellent facilitation, analytical, administrative
and organization skills - High levels of integrity and commitment
- Significant experience in the field of SRHR
- Broad knowledge of research and evaluation
- Passionate about placing youth at the centre
of the SRHR program and working with young people as equal partners - Ability to work independently;
- Self-confident, persistent and decisive; good
listening capacity; assertive; flexible; - Working experience with Donor Agencies is
desirable
