Job Summary: The Laboratory Technician will conduct analysis in
an efficient manner in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality system and other
standards while adhering to the required HSSE standards so as to ensure that
petroleum products received, stored, manufactured and distributed by the
Terminal conform to the laid down specifications. Also, the incumbent will
provide satisfactory and efficient support to Operations and Marketing.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out product quality tests on main
product samples taken from each truck and rail wagon received in the depot - Perform main products tests for contamination
for each truck and rail wagon received in the depot. - Prepare reagents and chemicals for Laboratory
use. - Test and report results of main products
received from customer sites. - Furnish technical test data to requesting
customers. - Uphold HSSE standards at all times by
adhering to PPE and participating in HSSE grassroots meetings, toolbox
meetings and carrying out unsafe act audits. - Consistently achieve agreed business plan
KPIs measured on monthly basis.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a diploma In
Laboratory Technology - At least three years’ experience preferably
in a petroleum or chemical environment is recommended.
