Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Marketing of all silo services
- Tasked with crop estimation
- Quality and quantity control
- Ensure adequate fumigation
- Cash sales
- Calibration and regular testing of all grading
equipment - Responsible for cost management, income
management and asset management - Provide client service
- In charge of capacity planning
- Management of niche markets
- Utilise silos effectively
- Personnel management
- Identify new business opportunities
- Risk management
- In charge of housekeeping
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Assistant Site Managers should be Qualified
Grain Graders (Maize Grading & Barley Grading) in possession of all
grading and fumigating certificates - A minimum of five years’ experience in
handling & storage of grain - Excellent communication and negotiation
skills - Good knowledge of the agricultural
environment
