The
Aga Khan University (AKU) is a private, not-for-profit, international
University first established in 1983, with 13 teaching sites in 8 countries. It
is a non-denominational institution open to all, irrespective of religion,
ethnicity, gender or national origin. AKU has offers academic programmes in
nursing, medicine and education for and in countries in East Africa. The School
of Nursing & Midwifery, East Africa (SONAM EA) works closely with the East
African community to prepare clinicians and leaders who will strengthen the
local workforce and impact the quality of nursing, midwifery and overall health
care across the region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for the investigation of Security
    related incidents.
  • Render support in the development of training
    manuals
  • In charge of the supervision of contracted
    security guards.
  • Responsible for the preparation of periodic
    reports
  • Serving as part of the emergency Response
    team.
  • Assisting in security training of employees
  • Ensuring usability of security equipment.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by
    department supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should hold a Diploma and / or Certification in criminology and Forensic related studies
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent interrogation and investigation
    skills
  • Good customer skills
